Mexico US and Canada DiferencesSome Cultural Differences
between Baja, US.
and Canada

By Guillermo Galván

Hola amigos, I would like to use this space to talk about some of the customs or differences in our cultures, I will start by addressing the real state industry in Baja.

First of all, if you have had the experience of visiting or living here in Baja, you have probably done some shopping in the local supermarkets or the international chains like COSTCO, WALMART, SMART AND FINAL, you may notice that our prices down here are from 10 to 15% higher than what you would pay in the U.S., then you might question yourself, how do people afford to live in Mexico?, the fact is that we pay more for clothing, food, furniture, almost everything and at the same time the wages are a lot less that what  they are in the U.S., to give you an idea, someone that works in a maquiladora gets paid from 50 to 100 dollars per week, that is for 48 hours of hard work.

So going back to the question, how do people afford to live in Mexico?... the answer is simple,  we are magicians and natural recyclers. Let me explain myself on this..

eal Estate for low and middle income housing. Down here we buy our houses without any amenities or appliances, the houses are delivered without carpets, tile, closets, kitchens, water heater, bars on windows, fence, etc., Why is this?, the answer is because we buy them at the lowest cost possible, and then, we all know someone like a friend or a family member that is a plumber, an electrician, or a carpet installer that can give us a better deal, so we go and move in and then we start working on finishing the house, it can take for ever but “at least we are not renting”.

Baja Best Realtors

Your choice for the
personalized service
you’ve always wanted

By Luisa Balderas

The Real Estate industry has changed as other service oriented industries, this has been a consequence of the changes in the market, the access to information and the accelerated life that is characteristic of the modern days.

The real estate buyer of today is more demanding and very well informed, the buyer has access to internet that becomes the first source of information in their search for the ideal home. The more accurate information about a property the most secured the potential buyer feels about the possible purchase of a property.

The real estate agents have the challenge of being one step ahead of the potential buyer, the real estate agents are no longer the ones who provide the information, the information is right there for everyone to reach, it is now the responsability of the real estate agent to guide and reassure the buyer about the information he already has.

Who can know best what you need than the real estate agent that has full knowledge and experience in the area you are relocating.

Second Home Market, what to look for?RE/MAX FOR KIDS, Giving back to the Rosarity Community

Helping Kids of Rosarito and Baja is about giving hope, faith and love to a few of the millions of children who desperately need it in our world today. For it is in giving, that we ourselves can fully receive and appreciate how fortunate we are.

Every child is a child of God and, as such, is just as important as any other person, no institution can replace a loving family, although they sometimes must try. Every child needs food, shelter, education and secure loving relationships. If a child's family or community cannot or will not provide for those needs, it becomes the responsibility of good people everywhere to try and provide them; every child also deserves to receive and give love and in fact must do so to develop normally.

Mission Statement
The mission of Helping Kids of Rosarito and Baja – Remax for Kids - is to do everything possible to help children living in orphanages and similar institutions to reach their full potential.

Donations allow us to help orphans and orphanages in capacities that individual child-sponsorships cannot. Donations allow us to serve larger-scale orphanage-wide needs, such as providing better facilities and educational excursions to create good memories for all of the children collectively.
